Making a Complaint and Giving Feedback

Listening to Your Views Helps Shape our Service

Feedback from tenants, residents and the users of our service is essential in helping us shape our services and identify any areas requiring improvement.

From 1^st April 2013 the Association will be joining other Registered Social Landlords across Scotland by adopting a new Model Complaints Handling Procedure. It will only be used for complaints related to dissatisfaction with standards of service or action which the Association has taken/not taken. The purpose of the new model is to provide a standardised approach to customer complaints across the housing sector. This means that you should receive consistency when making a complaint about our service. All complaints must be recorded along with action taken and the outcome. The Association is responsible for reporting complaints to the Scottish Housing Regulator annually.

As a community based Housing Association, we firmly believe that housing and community development must go hand in hand for the benefit of our tenants, the wider community and the Association itself. Elderpark is committed to the Scottish Government's New Supply Shared Equity. SFHA campaign on welfare reform change

The UK Governement is imposing dramatic changes to Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits. It is the belief of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations that the outcome of these drastic cuts is that 20% of tenants will be financially worse off through no fault of their own. The Housing Benefits campaign asks the Governement to think again about how to implement their changes, so they can make them fairer.

Scottish Housing Regulator

Help to improve social landlord services…

The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) regulates all social landlords in Scotland, and is setting up a new National Panel for users of social landlord services. All people who use social landlord services are invited to join the Panel - including tenants, homeless households, home owners who receive factoring or common repairs services, and Gypsies/Travellers using Council or housing association sites. Every new Panel member will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 6 x £50 prizes.
