Third Party Reporting

Reporting a Hate Crime

Elderpark Housing Association's office at 31 Garmouth Street, G51 3PR, is a third party reporting centre for hate crimes.

The Scottish Government defines hate crime as "a crime motivated by malice or ill will towards a social group".

A  hate crime is  being committed if the reason for the crime is because of race, sexual orientation, religion/faith, disability, or transgender/gender identity.

The Association works in partnership with Glasgow Community Safety Services and Police Scotland to tackle hate crime. Reporting can be done anonymously through third party reporting centres.

For further information please see the attached information poster or contact a member of the Housing Management team on 0141 440 2244.

A new short animated film about hate crime as been produced in Govan by Plantation Productions. The film uses the voices of local people to give definitions of hate crime, talk about its impact, encourage reporting and promotes a message of community cohesion.
